Farmkey have been fully approved by DEFRA to issue passports and we have created an application system that is simple for you to follow.
Revised Horse Passport Law from 1 July 2009
From 1 July 2009 new EU Rules require that every horse must be microchipped when a passport is applied for. If the horse you own or look after does not have a passport you could face a fine of up to £5,000.
Complusory microchipping provides a permanent link between the horse and its passport.
It is law that all owners should have obtained a passport for their horse, pony or donkey by the 28th February 2005.
It is important to remember that the passport remains with your horse for life, so it is crucial you choose a trusted reliable company to provide you with an efficient initial service and also long-term back up when required.
We at Farmkey have over 30 years experience in equine security and currently handle details for almost 200,000 horses and ponies in the UK. Supplying passports is now an additional benefit offered to our members ensuring you the peace of mind that we will provide support for years to come and at a very competitive price.
